Ollie Elephant - our special library visitor

Today the library had a very special visitor: Ollie Elephant.  Ollie spent most of the day in the library and he helped out quite a lot!

 At first he was happy to sit and read books.  Then he wanted to help!

He helped file books away !

He looked on the computer. . . 

 He even made a telephone call - we think he was calling another elephant. . .

 He had a cup of milk in the back room of the library

 He spent some time reading the newspaper.

 He then helped out by seeing which books had been returned.

 When Grade 1 came into the library he wanted to check books out so Mrs Dawber let him but the library scanner was a bit too big for him.

Later on Mrs Dawber and Ollie had talked about their favourite books and Mrs Dawber showed him a magazine that the teachers read - he was very excited! 

He did so much work that he was very tired and so I sat and read him a story all about elephants ...

Ollie really enjoyed staying in the library and he said that he hopes to come again another day!  I wonder who will come and visit us next time!?
